So, the Summer Accomplishments list has been updated, but on my Facebook; I'm way to lazy to update it in two spots, so I'm just saying that. I've got a few more drawings planned for the summer, assuming I have time for them 'cause I'm working on some free lance graphic design work. I might put those designs up on here as well.

My homepage should be going up soon... I hope I get off my lazy ass and do it.

I'll also have my blog up there, but - seeing as how I don't keep my Xanga updated enough (I should just put that thing down already) - I want to post here, write something about my life. I don't know what, though, 'cause I've always felt like deviantArt, for me at least, isn't a great place for me to really share my personal thoughts. Of course, I did a Shout It Out piece; I might do another, because so much has changed since college has started.

Stevens Inst. of Tech has been great, in general; more of the setting than the actual institution (for reasons that I could explain, but I'm too lazy too, and either way, I'm not leaving the school any time soon). I've hung out with friends from both high school and college, and I also haven't been able to get a regular job (aside from my pseudo-regular design work through my friend's web development business that he just started), and it's probably too late to do so because I'd only be working for a month. I'm planning on moving in early to Stevens to help work at the theater, so I'll be able to get out of the house early, too.

As much as I love my family (most of the time, anyway; Kim and Edward are the ones I'm partial to the most, to be honest), I really want to get out of my "lair." Yes, I've gone out and done several trips to visit friends or hang out, but I know this setting all too well, and it'd be nice to go back into that independence where my parents aren't running my day-to-day life (yes, they're running my life, for now anyway, only because I, in the end, live in the house, and they're paying for my tuition to Stevens). I've been sitting here at the computer most days, either Facebook-ing, Twitter-ing, TF2-ing, drawing, or just typing...

Though, despite how much I'm making myself sound like a typical geek in her basement (though, the first thing atypical about that is the fact I said "her"), my social life has been great... Before school let out and during finals week, a friend of mine who had invited me to the Colbert Report a few weeks earlier had asked me out on a date, and we had also been generally hanging more since that trip (note: we hated each others' guts first semester; second we were okay); we've been talking more and more over the summer, had been in an un-official relationship for, like, a month, and on the 25th, we're official. :)

Quite honestly, I haven't been this happy in a while. If I wrote regularly, you might know why, and what other things had transpired during my time at college: had a boyfriend for, for all intensive purposes, two months, got dropped quite hard, had an odd triangle-web of admirers, mucho work on a double major at school; just stress from all fronts, but life is so good now.

Anyway, I'm really also just typing to kill time; I'm so bored, and I might go to bed soon. I was reading The Catcher in the Rye, but I only read 2 chapters before getting my attention distracted by nothing because I wasn't in a reading mood.

That is a very, very, very brief synopsis of my life so far, and I don't feel obligated to further any details.

Hopefully, the rest of my summer continues to go in a positive direction. :)

  • Mood: Joy
  • Listening to: The White Tie Affair
  • Reading: The Catcher in the Rye

Hello! ^__^

I just switched majors from Comp.Eng. to Art & Tech, so even though I'm a sophomore, that's probably why you haven't seen me around. (You're a sophomore, right?)

Well, I'm gonna raid your gallery now and possibly favorite/comment things.
